Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026.
This policy explains what personal data UValue Studio collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
UValue Studio (the "data controller" for the purposes of this policy) can be contacted at support@uvaluestudio.com for anything relating to your data or this policy.
What we collect, and why
Most of what we collect is used on the basis that it's necessary to provide the service you've signed up for ("performance of a contract"). Where a different basis applies, it's noted below.
Your email address. Collected when you create an account, used to log you in (via a one-time link, so we never store a password) and to contact you about your subscription.
Your saved build-ups and custom materials. If you're on the full plan, the wall/roof/floor build-ups and materials you save are stored against your account so they're available next time you log in, on any device.
Billing information. Handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number ourselves. Our payment processor shares back with us your subscription status, the plan you're on, and your renewal date, so we can grant you access to the full plan.
Basic technical data. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) are generated automatically by our hosting provider, as they are for essentially any website. We don't run any additional analytics or advertising tracking on top of this. Lawful basis: legitimate interest, in keeping the service running and secure.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of specialist providers to actually run the service, each acting as a processor on our behalf:
- A cloud database and authentication provider, for account login and storing your saved build-ups and materials
- A payment processor, for processing payments and managing subscriptions (our payment processor also acts as the Merchant of Record for global tax compliance on these transactions)
- A web hosting provider, for hosting the website itself
- An email delivery provider, for sending account emails (login links, receipts)
These providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Each operates under its own standard data protection terms, which we rely on as the safeguard for any such transfer. We don't sell your data to anyone, or share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you cancel your subscription, your saved build-ups and materials remain accessible on the free tier's terms (i.e. inaccessible while locked, but not deleted) unless you ask us to delete your account entirely, in which case we'll remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep billing records for tax or accounting purposes.
Cookies and local storage
We don't set tracking cookies ourselves. Your browser's local storage is used only to remember your light/dark mode preference, which never leaves your device. This page loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser connecting directly to Google's servers; Google may process technical data such as your IP address as part of delivering those fonts, under its own privacy policy. If you go through checkout, our payment processor's own payment pages (hosted on their domain, not ours) will set their own cookies under their own privacy policy, which we don't control.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email support@uvaluestudio.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Children
This service is intended for professional use and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. Significant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
